Award winning app that helps students get their driving license.
WOLF is one of the biggest driving schools of the Netherlands. Their mission states that students should be able to get their driving license more quickly and be able to drive a vehicle with more confidence. To achieve this, an innovative app is needed!
WOLF had multiple challenges. These included quality improvement of the training program, but also to do something about the time consuming process of planning driving lessons. We asked ourselves how we could enable students to make the most out of the time in the car, but also if students could be more in control of their own program by planning driving lessons themselves.
A hybrid (web) app, that allows students to get the most out of their training on iOS, Android and web. The codebase is shared for all platforms. This makes pushing updates and adding new features a cost efficient process. Students can watch videos, view their homework and plan their next lessons. When a lesson is completed, students can review their lesson and read the feedback of the driving instructor. That way, they can get optimal insight into their driving training!
My role developed during the course of this project. From a mixed UX- and front-end role to solely a lead front-end role. The lead role involved duties like making technological choices, creating the technical outlines of the project and establish quality control of the app by means of automated testing.
